    It’s not that creating your own groups is a bad idea, it’s that it lets users take email addresses with said groups off the table.

    Who in their right mind lets users create their own email addresses and doesn’t see any potential for misuse or issues down the line with that?

    I don’t know how anyone in their right mind can allow users to create groups. In a month you’ll have such a mess on your hands and you’ll never be able to get that genie back in the bottle.
